They were involved in a completely unprovoked assault. The business was already closed for the evening. Without warning, the 3 individuals attacked the male victim, throwing him to the ground, and striking him repeatedly in the head and face with their fists, while also delivering brutal kicks to his body. The intersection was closed just after am when a solo vehicle traveling north on Clay Bank Road struck a signal pole. Both occupants of the car had to be extricated by the Fairfield Fire Department.
