HP Pavilion dv7-3101sa Entertainment Notebook PC

I already did all these steps before, but without any luck. My notebook is even more slower then when I posted this one. Even getting out of the sleep mode adter closing the lid now is taking more than 2 minutes to start up my laptop.

Unfortunately I can not go back to my previous OS Windows 7 as the inital install of W10 was performed more than 2 months ago and therefore I can not go back anymore. First, DV6s don't do well on Win10 Upgrades.

The problem you're up against is that Microsoft only supplies drivers with the most basic functionality, and what you really need for FULL functionality in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific hardware found in laptops -- and unfortunately, there are no HP Win10 drivers for your laptop.

HP only guarantees Win10 compatibility for machines made after August, HP does not have any schedule indicating when, or IF, they will be producing drivers for the older machines. Second, with a laptop that old, it's likely that the slowdown is an indication of a failing hard drive.

I can turn it on and the LED's light up but the screen stays blank. I have tryed turning it off, taking out the battery and the power cable, holding the on button for a minute the turning it back on again but the screen is still black. I live in New Zealand and I am asuming that the person who bought it It is third hand was from New Zealand aswell, so New Zealand was the most likely place of purchase.

The CPU brand is Intel. The installed operating system is probibly Windows 7. I have tryed plugging it into a external display but it just said no signal on the display. Sorry but I see nothing when I shine a flash light into it. I did notice when I turned it on for about 5 minutes the LED next to the caps lock and the LED in between the end and pg up button on the number pad flashes.
